For my AS Media Studies portfolio, I created a table of contents page for my fashion magazine, Vornicu Vogue. My goal was to maintain a modern, stylish, and professional aesthetic while ensuring that the design aligned with the magazine’s high-fashion and editorial theme. The layout is clean and structured, with a bold “Table of Contents” heading that immediately grabs attention. I incorporated sleek typography and graphic elements, such as the geometric patterns in the top left corner, to give the page a polished, magazine-worthy look. The Vornicu Vogue branding is strategically placed, reinforcing the magazine’s identity.


The content itself is organized in a minimalist, easy-to-read format, listing sections such as “Exclusive Interview,” “Fashion Icons Style,” and “Sustainable Fashion”—all of which are key topics in the fashion industry. By keeping the text layout simple and structured, I ensured that it remains visually appealing while being functional and engaging for readers.


About the Image


The image selection was crucial in setting the tone for the page. The photograph features a young woman in a luxurious white fur coat, set against a bold red background. This contrast creates a high-impact, editorial-style visual, reinforcing the theme of luxury, confidence, and bold fashion choices. Her pose is relaxed yet powerful, with her gaze subtly engaging the viewer, evoking a sense of modern elegance and high-end fashion photography. The choice of a red backdrop not only makes the subject stand out but also symbolizes passion, power, and sophistication—all of which are integral to the fashion world.


This image was carefully integrated into the table of contents layout, ensuring that it complements the text rather than overpowering it. The placement of the image to the left balances out the structured text on the right, creating a visually dynamic composition. This approach keeps the magazine’s aesthetic cohesive and professional, making it feel like an authentic fashion publication.
