I just finished my ‘Editor’s note’
Today, I finally finished my Editor’s Note for my A-Level fashion magazine portfolio, and I couldn’t be more excited about how it turned out. This section is so important to me because it’s my first opportunity to introduce myself to my audience and share my vision for the magazine. I wanted to create something that truly represents who I am—my passions, inspirations, and the journey that led me to this point. Writing this felt personal and meaningful because it marks the beginning of an exciting creative project where I get to express my thoughts, style, and perspective on fashion and culture.
For the visuals, I carefully chose images that reflect different aspects of my personality. The first image, where I’m dressed in a sleek black outfit against an urban cityscape, was designed to convey confidence, ambition, and sophistication. I wanted to create a strong editorial look, blending classic and modern aesthetics. The city backdrop adds a sense of movement and energy, reinforcing the idea that fashion is always evolving and influenced by its surroundings.
On the second page, I wanted to highlight my love for travel and fitness, two things that are just as important to me as fashion. The beachside photo represents my passion for exploring new places, discovering different cultures, and embracing adventure. The final image, overlooking the city skyline, captures a reflective moment—one that reminds me why I work hard and push myself to grow. Through this Editor’s Note, I didn’t just want to introduce myself; I wanted to set the tone for the entire magazine, showing that fashion is more than just clothing—it’s a lifestyle, an attitude, and a way of expressing individuality.
This marks a huge step in my media studies portfolio, and I’m so proud of what I’ve created so far. It’s just the beginning, but I can already see my vision coming to life!
